Hands-On Two-Day Course | 18 CE

This two-day hands-on course offers the most comprehensive, practice-changing, esthetically driven hands-on training using composite-based restorations offered to Pediatric Dentists. The Bioclear Method uses warmed composite with the injection molding technique into clear, anatomical tooth form matrices.

It is a one-of-a-kind course designed specifically for Pediatric Dentists or General Dentists who treat children in their scope of practice. The goal of this course is to allow all participants to return to patient care the following week with an entirely new skill set restoring anterior or posterior teeth in the primary and permanent dentition.

With the exception of a few special occasions per year, most courses are held at the Bioclear Pediatric Learning Center in Livermore, California. This new 6000 sq. ft. facility was designed to provide small group, hands-on courses as well as function as a pediatric dental practice. DAY 1

Transitioning from GV Black to Clark Class II non-retentive preparations designed specifically for composite
Predictable and esthetic class II restorations that mimic natural teeth
Treatment of severely hypoplastic/carious molars without stainless steel crowns
Proper removal of biofilm for predictable sealants and composite restorations
Quadrant strategy for multiple posterior class II restorations in permanent teeth

DAY 2

Class III restorations in primary and permanent teeth
Class IV fracture repairs that ensconce the tooth in composite (minimizing re-fracturing and maximizing esthetics)
Restoration of Peg laterals
Treatment planning tooth size discrepancies pre and post ortho (including post-Invisalign black triangles.)
Dental photography- transition from an intraoral camera to using a DSLR for high-esthetic shots
Electronically controlled, intraosseous local anesthesia administration (NEW)

Dr. Joshua Solomon, is a second-generation dentist and has been in practice in California for 19 years. He is a graduate of the University of the Pacific with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a D.D.S. Following dental school, Dr. Solomon completed an additional 2-year specialty residency at the University of Texas Dental Branch – Houston and a Master’s program in conjunction with the Department of Oral-Biomaterials.

Dr. Solomon initially taught restorative courses utilizing metal matrices at the post-graduate level and to dentists in private practice. However, in 2017 following completion of the Bioclear Learning Center's Core Posterior course in Tacoma, he had what he calls his “existential restorative crisis.”

Since then, he had made the Bioclear Method the foundation of every composite-based restoration he places. In 2019 he began teaching regional courses for Bioclear.

Since that time Dr. Solomon has been nominated to become Full Faculty, teaching a variety of courses including: Introduction to the Bioclear Method and Core Posterior solutions. He has been invited to present to thousands of general and pediatric dentists in both the university and private practice settings.

Please note that the virtual, hands-on course covers the exact same content as the in-person, hands-on course. We are able to cover slightly more material in the virtual format than in-person as we don’t need breaks for doctors to move from the classroom to their operations.

The live-virtual course platform is a wonderful opportunity to learn the Bioclear Method from your office. All instruction will be given live through an HD webcam and HD live surgical microscope feed. Receive real-time feedback on your work through this hands-on virtual learning experience.

All course materials, including models, composite, Bioclear HeatSync, matrices, burs and instruments, will be sent via UPS to your practice before the course with a return shipping label. You only need to provide: a high-speed and low-speed handpiece, your phone to text in photos and a curing light. Please note that you will NOT be able to take this course from home. You need to be in working in your dental operatory with a computer and webcam (on) during the entire course.
